Mission

Bats, unbeknownst to many, are invaluable to environmental health. Making up one-fifth of the world’s mammal species, they are globally essential in pest control, seed dispersal, and the pollination of many fruits and flowers. (Source: Merlin Tuttle’s Bat Conservation)

These misunderstood, unsung heroes are under increasing threat due to widespread habitat destruction, climate change, human fear, invasive species, and other stressors.

Bity Bats’ mission is to raise awareness, change perception, and promote the message:

Nocturna DAO Donation

Nocturna DAO will exist as a vehicle to distribute transparent, on-chain donations to conservation groups dedicated to bats and nocturnal ecosystems. A percentage of each sale will be placed into an allocated fund for this donation.

A collaborative infrastructure program, such as SQUADS, will be integrated with the Bity Cave to provide a platform from which Nocturna DAO will be built. This structure will also give community members the opportunity to vote on the recipients of the allocated funds from a list of vetted organizations.
